Staining the cabins at Cobtree

Our Mennonite painters are busy here at Cobtree applying a new coat of paint to our four log cabins and filling the checks. A check is a split or a crack in a log and they require filling and sealing from time to time. It is a fairly hot day here and rather them then me being out in the sun doing this kind of work. Myself I hate painting. It is laborious and boring painting and I always end up with more of the stuff on me then what I am painting. anyway.

It is hard to believe that summer is soon coming to a close. I think that the fall will be early this year and that we should see the colors of the leaves start to change by end of September this year. Of course, I could also be wrong!
